For a few generations of GPUs now the GPUs have no longer been running with a set clockspeed instead boosting to a higher clockspeed that is partly determined by power target limit and temperatures. I have one profile set for 1770 at 775mv for mining and one set at 1980 at 925mv for gaming. But the temperature is just comparable with my TUF OC (up to 75C), consuming around the same amount of power as the TUF (up to 320W), but much noisier at stock fan speeds. How do you know? I would like to achieve lower temperatures so I don't have to put up with this loud noise until I install the custom loop. I dont want fans at 100% and memory junction temperature 104 or lower is a must. Increase the frequency of the 800mv slider through the slider found in step 4, in 25mv increments, to +105MHz, but never exceeding the frequency found in step 3. Running a card at a higher clock speed might mean a bit more performance but it also usually means higher temperature that needs to be removed = fans work harder = higher noise level and it also usually means the card needs more power. :) I did confirmed actual clockrates , not mhz setuped in MSI afterburner.
