One of the "top" sororities in this write-up just had to shut down their chapter, and one of the "mid-tier" sororities has so many top women that it's almost embarrassing to the other sororities on campus. Sure, being a freshman gives you a better chance because you will be a 4-year member, but at the same time, sometimes the older girls that join halfway through college end up being stronger members for the short time they are there, and it also sets you apart from all the freshmen who are rushing because you are different! The Pi Phis were from 4 different schools, and they were all the most beautiful group of girls, classy, richer than the 1 Kappa, and fun. Until you travel to every college and every chapter you really have no right to pass judgement on any woman in any chapter. ALL have very rich girls and fake girls. Sorry. No one here should discuss sorority reputations, and certainly not name names, because frankly with over 200 girls in each house you really cant pigeonhole them that way. So I'm a DZ and actually most of us are pretty attractive (believe it or not). Will always be a bottom tier. They sleep around and had 40 girls pref them this year. All of our chapters are unique, so women have been able to find chapters suited to their needs. My biggest piece of advice is to go into recruitment at UT with an OPEN MINDI cannot stress this enoughplease try not to listen to other girls and thier opinions of the houses, especially if they are negative. PNMsDont take advice from a dude whos never even been in a chapter. They have been looking at Facebook(make sure yours is very, very clean) they have called friend of friends to get the inside scoop on girls that interest them. Nationally, every sorority has a philanthropy, so every single sorority does charity work. Wouldnt be surprised if they continue to improve over the next few years. UT rush is incredibly competitive due to the high number of legacies and in state students who already have connections with the chapters, plus the number of PNMs who only seem to want one of six chapters. What about AGD, AOII and Gamma Phi? This is complete nonsense and pure garbage. Sorry. Kappa Kappa Gamma (Kappas) are known for being rich girls. Very nice/smart girls. Beautiul, rich, smart and even many nice ones). Especially those that try to tell you what an organization of thousands of women across the entire US is like. You know those girls that were left over or that nobody else would take? They have it all.
